Our History
February 1951
Haynes Brothers Supply Co. was formed by Five Brothers (Grady, Haywood, Fayne, Charles T, and Curtis) who decided a new building material supplier was needed in the community.
April 1952
The company held its Grand Opening at the current location on Northwest Broad Street in Murfreesboro, TN
October 1973
The company became a limited partnership with Grady and Larry operating as general partners. The limited partners were Haywood Haynes, Fayne Haynes, Terry Haynes (Grady's son) and Marlene Haynes Luffman,
August 1979
Terry purchased Haywood's interest and became general partner. Fayne and Marlene remained Limited Partners.
October 1993
After purchasing additional interest and increasing his ownership to 51%, Terry became the Managing General Partner and CEO of the company - succeeding Grady who had served in that position since the companies inception.
August 2001
Haynes Brothers opens it's second location in Shelbyville, TN. This location expands the footprint further to ensure customer needs can be met throughout the Middle TN area
TODAY
Terry remains active in the company today while his son Robert manages the day to day operations. The organization continues to be guided by the same polices and principles instilled by Grady which has resulted in Haynes Bros. Lumber co being able to keep up with the growth of our progressive community.
